i dont think you guys are 'feared'...i mean if you pull up to a honda at a red light odds are its a teenager with an intake and exhaust with the clear tail lights and bondo almost on the entire car, putting out about 130 horsepower, and odds are...grandmas buick could blow the doors off of it.
ill admit though..i have seen some fast hondas with thousands of dollars invested, but the odds of one rolling up to me at a red light in my camaro are slim to none, the fear factor is pretty much out of the picture for the most part.
i agree with what everyone else is saying..its mainly the stereotype of that 'boy racer' look / effect.
