86mm bore b20v
okay guys i went to my shop today and was talking motors with a guy that has been building them for longer than i have been alive, basically what we are going to configure is a stock b20 crank micropolished with eagle rods acl race bearings and 86mm arias 12.4.1 pistons. the part that got me was he showed me a b20 block with an 86 mm bore and it was open deck?! no closed sleves such as dartons or golden eagle. He had told me it was a resleve and now that im sitting here thinking about it i am beggining to get sceptical, but on the otherhand i have seen the guy build some of the most amazing motors out there so i trust him with my motor. anyway have you ever heard of anyone doing this???
thanks in advance!!!!!!

Why don't you ask him again and make sure its a sleeved 86mm b20. Those are things you should know the specifics about before building one.
You gonna daily drive the thing? that would be fun

i agree. go with pro 3 cams and some more compression. itll be a shitty daily tho lol. i wouldnt bore a sleeved motor to 86mm because it leaves no room for error. max bore for all motor sleeved block is 86.5
