bro the deck height on a b16b block is the same as the itr and gsr blocks. u can just take out the b16b rods and throw in gsr or itr rods n u got a 1.8 easy. U cant do dat with a b16a block because it doesnt have the deck height but the b16b block does.

ummm no... changing rod length does not change displacement...

and with that combination you'll end up with a 7.28:1 CR

uumm yes it does. ur gona tell me using b18c length rods is the same as b16a length rods? the deck height on that block is exactly the same as a b18c block, look it up. a CTR is a destroked ITR with higher compression pistons.

go look up the formula to calculate displacement and you'll see you're completely wrong...

3 things you need in calculating dispalcement...

bore diameter, stroke, and number of cylinders....

rod length does not play into displacement.

stock bore between all b series blocks except b20 are the same buddy so what makes a b16 a 1.6 and a gsr a 1.8? rod length. Thats the difference, gsr and itr rods are longer giving a longer stroke making it a 1.8. I dont need a calculator to do dat, just look at the specs of the motors.

changing rod length does not change stroke.

he'll have a longer stroke with longer rods. What are u talking about? so according to you what makes a b16a a 1.6 and a gsr a 1.8 if the bore is the same at 81mm? the b16a has shorter rods, dats all..
