Anti-virus programs suck. All they do is slow your computer down and annoy the heck out of out.

I have three hard drives on my computer. There are two 300 GB drives; one for my music and movies, and another for programs and games. I have another 150 GB that's for my OS. I have my OS on my E drive, and I very rarely get anything weird, eventhough I have no anti-virus programs.

I just formatted and re-installed XP and I'm back to running flawlessly!
