03 and newer evo questions

i have done a search on kelly blue book , but i'm wondering what is the best price any of you have seen an evo go for used?

If i do get an evo i'll be throwing my 57 trim in there so i'll need tuning. Besides an expensive aem. what is the the best affordable tuning program for these cars?

Try to get an older one without the Variable valve timing so you dont have to bother with removing it later. Only if you're going to work it though. If its just to cruise around then any one is fine.

Actually the mivec is really good, i make 600whp on stock cams. No need to remove it.

ecu flash is just fine for that turbo and the power generated
i made 437 whp on my evo with meth.the only drawback is timing adjuustments are done in full degrees not .25 . so certain spots on the tune
can get crazy. evos are very knock prone especially the evo9 so sometimes .5 of a degree could have avoided knock but since you cant adjust there it sucks ..but for what you wanna do ecu flash from Open ecu is just fine

Thats cool, all the people I know from EVONY were telling me that they're getting rid of their MIVEC because its a roadblock to big numbers, but 600whp is a pretty big number so I guess its not necessary.

The mivec is great, you can make lots of power with it on stock cams because of it.
