thier not always looking for distance driven most of the time they look for time spent driving because they want to know if you are going to be a liability for them on their insurance. What i would do is try to get in with an escavating company and deliver their equipment from place to place as they need it, or go to a temp agency and they will set you up with somebody who needs a driver and then from there impress them kick ass be safe and they will buy the temp agencey out and make you their employee. The reason why they go throug the temp is so they dont have to hire you and if you dont work out they just say send me another one and then they dont have to fire you. so really they just keep pickin till they get a good on,e but good luck man sory for the book
