NEED 06+si owners input

Im looking to pick up an 07 si real soon. I have been on the 8th gen forums for a while now reading about the 3rd gear isssues. I just wanted to know if i do get an si and run into the 3rd gear issues once i have it replaced under warranty hopefully with a new 3rd gear set should it be problem free. Im just looking for owners overall experiences with the car good or bad, feel free to pm me, the more info you can give the better, thanks.

Once you take it back to the dealer, it's going to be fine. their problem before is the mtf. I had the same problem at 1st, I switch to amsoil mtf. I have 20,000 miles now and it seems fine. Problem with the SI owners before is they keep on grinding it they don't fix it right away then boom tranny is gone. Not saying it's the owners fault, but if you feels something is wrong bring it back to the dealer right away or just stop revving and racing your car until you fix the problem.

Car is slow, but looks pretty compare to my rice bucket. It's a nice quick daily driver with good mileage, good in twisties, but still slow. I still a want a k24 bubble or crx. I'm going to the track this sunday, see how it runs. high 13's low 14's maybe i have no clue. But i have a feeling mid to low 14's. 215whp 150tq

Overall I love the car, compare to all the cars in SI range $22,000 to $26,000.
it's a nice balance of power,handling,comfort, styling and gas mileage.
cobalt - is fast and ugly inside out
GTI- is quick and luxurious, but not my style.
Mazda3- fast and okay looking, but i don't trust it.

there's no other ars for the price that i really like, it can keep up with stock sti and evo's so i can't complain that much, but i don't want to keep up with them i want to beat them. Maybe soon after supercharger.

i have a si, it was fun with all motor, but i wasnt satisfied with its performance, so im going turbo in a week, hoping to hit 450hp

the car is sickk bro i had the 08 i neva had the 3rd gear problem its all about how u treat it i put 18,000 miles on that car and neva had a problme once

it was mainly the 07's my brother had to take his back to honda && they fixed it, && since then its been good,
