ok... so i finally was able to ride yesterday since the weather was decent... my fuel light came on at 82 miles... 50 miles short of my avg miles per tank.
also on the way to work last night i was redlining up to 4th gear when i felt lose of power around 10k rpm.. it didnt feel like slipping clutch.. it felt more like just lose of power... dunno how to explain it. today im going to open her up.. check filter, plugs, ign coils... how do i check the olms on the ign coils by the way... i know the norm limits and have the tool... just what do i do? also... 14k miles on it. fresh clutch and oil change less then 500 miles ago.. i'll update in a while... just got home from work and im gonna sleep 1st

ok... so i finally got around to checkin shit out... i took off the tank and didnt notice any leaks or smell any fuel... i checked the hoses and no tears...
i checked the air filter (k&n) still looks brand spankin new. i checked the plugs... they look used and abused... brown i checked the resistance on each ign coil... and here are the results..... today was 67 degrees outside so it was almost perfect as per the manual the normal range is primary coil 0.17 ~ 0.23 Ω at 20*C (68*F) secondary coil 4.8 ~ 7.2 kΩ at 20*C (68*F) my results were... Ign #1 primary 0.10 secondary 5.51 Ign #2 primary 0.10 secondary Error Ign #3 primary 0.10 secondary 4.85 Ign #4 primary 0.22 secondary 9.58

i think i figured out what was wrong but it makes no sense. some 5yo asked me to turn on my bike so he can hear it and i get no power at all! so i remove the seat to check fuses and i notice that my ground to the battery is EXTREMELY LOSE! so i tighten and not as much backfire and feels much smoother... MUCH MUCH smoother. havent used a tank of gas yet so i dunno for sure. does this make sense? would a loose ground cause theses issues??/
