Lutz has been in and out of trouble for the past ten years, I guess it helps to have a mom who works for NB Housing. I'm sure her boss the Exec Director (who is the niece of Public Safety Commissioner) helps sweep stuff under the rug. I'm sure for years to come the Lutz name will be making Headlines. |

this is the story!!! BUSTED!
Four Arrested In Rash Of GPS Thefts January 23, 2008 Police are advising motorists that thieves in the Bergen area are targeting the GPS navigation units on dashboards. So far, North Bergen Police charged four men, all in their late teens, with stealing GPS devices. "What they did was they would drive around in a car, they would look for a GPS unit in the window. The one gentleman get out of the car. He’d break the passenger or driver side window," said Lt. Frank Cannella of the North Bergen Police Department. "He'd enter the vehicle, remove the GPS, get back in the car and they'd move on." Christopher Lutz, Christopher Babilonia, Hector Labatta, and Jonathan Martinez were arrested when police found them with stolen GPS units. Police say one suspect had cuts on his hand, possibly from breaking car windows. "I'm sure they've been operating for quite some time," said Lt. Cannella. "Our statistics only show numbers since October. We've experienced over 200 car break-in's since October, all attributed to the theft of GPS units." Police believe the four men orchestrated a large portion of those thefts. One of the recovered GPS units was stolen from Cliffside Park. Police say the borough has also seen a rash of GPS robberies. They say there have been 15 GPS thefts reported since mid-December. Residents who spoke with NY1 say they already take precautions to prevent theft. "Basically mine is removable, so I just put it in the trunk or put it in the back of my car," said Englewood resident Lynn DeSalvo. Police urge owners of GPS systems to do the same and conceal the units when they're not being used. "Just because we caught these people, doesn't mean its not going to happen again," said Captain Anthony Frato of the Cliffside Park Police Department. "It's a very desirable piece of equipment." North Bergen Police have charged the four individuals with receiving stolen property, but they say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending. – Michelle Park Last edited by daprchulo1987; 02-27-2008 at 09:12 PM. |
